Riley Millette, Coach & Personal Trainer
Strength Coach & Personal Trainer
Growing up, Riley was involved in many different sports like wrestling, football, lacrosse, and more. Being very active, sports were a good way to keep him busy, entertained and make some friends. The community and coaches here at SLS gave Riley that same feeling of being active and getting to know the members and connecting with them.
As he got older, looking at college and what career he would want to get into, he wanted to go into nursing so he could have a positive impact on the people he would help. After going to nursing school for a couple years, he felt like this was not the path he wanted to go down but still wanted to continue helping people. This change of perspective led him to Exercise Science at UMass Lowell where he is currently still studying.
During his enrollment, he was able to get an internship here at SLS Fitness and learn more about the fitness community and the impact the coaching here has on the member’s health goals. He felt like this was a great start to a career where he can have more of an impact on those he is helping, while also doing something he enjoys.
Riley’s coaching career also extends to being an assistant coach for high school wrestling where he helps those athletes learn new skills and better their performance. He brings this motivational mindset to the classes he coaches here at SLS, getting everyone to try to push a little bit more to better their performance and better their health!
