Breathwork Class
This Breathwork is an active 3 part open mouth breathing technique that stimulates our autonomic and parasympathetic nervous system, forcing our bodies and minds into a relaxed state, by the increased amount of oxygen entering our bloodstream.
As the breath bypasses the active, analytical mind, it allows the brain to enter a deeper state of theta and delta brainwave frequencies. From a theta state, our self healing capacity is turned in, and we are able to access, and reprogram, our subconscious blocks, limiting beliefs, and unlock higher insight, needed for healing. While coming to the session with an intention is great, you do not need to know what your blocks and limiting beliefs are. Your body is wise & will take care of this for you.
As we bring more oxygen into our bodies, the cells that are holding onto our trauma, emotions, and toxins, can release these stuck energies from the body(through tears, laughter, sometimes a good scream).
Amy will lead us on a short meditation to ground us, demonstrate the breathing technique, and then guide you in. Breathwork is done to a playlist, made for that specific session. The active breathing lasts about 20-25 minutes and about 10-15 minutes of integration afterwards- the best part!
