Lisa Anderson, PT, DPT, PCES
Licensed Physical Therapist
Licensed Physical Therapist, Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist
Lisa's love for fitness started when she was little constantly playing sports outside with the neighborhood kids. She played soccer, lacrosse, and basketball throughout her youth and continued playing intramural soccer in college and various adult leagues after graduating.
In high school, she dealt with knee issues that required surgery followed by a few months of physical therapy to get her back on the playing field. Her PT made the recovery fun, and it was that positive experience that influenced her to become a physical therapist and help others learn how to overcome injuries and return to their everyday and recreational activities. After graduating with a degree in kinesiology from UMass Amherst, she went to UMass Lowell and graduated with her doctorate in physical therapy (DPT).
Lisa has worked in the outpatient physical therapy setting treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. She has also done aquatic physical therapy and more recently pelvic floor physical therapy. After having her two children, she studied to become a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist to better serve prenatal and postpartum patients. She was drawn to SLS because of the positive community environment, and commitment to improving overall wellness while having fun!
