Haley LaFreniere, DPT

Licensed Physical Therapist

Haley’s passion for fitness and fun began at a young age playing sports through her youth. She was a three sport athlete through high school, and remembers the best part was being able to work together with a team, to have fun, and better each other. Haley attended UMass Lowell and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Psychology, and then her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. She continued playing club lacrosse and club ice hockey through her time at UMass Lowell.

Working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, she was able to use her knowledge to educate and promote wellness across a wide range of fitness levels and ages. Through her studies as a physical therapist and clinical work she became passionate about the need for creating a supportive, fun, and structured environment for people with a variety of diagnoses to have a place to continue exercising and bettering themselves after a rehab stay.

She was drawn to SLS because of the welcoming and fun environment that they create, but also their commitment to providing evidence-based exercise programs and training to people of all ages with varying neurological diagnoses. Haley is passionate about the Rock Steady Boxing Program and how it incorporates principles of physical therapy to help people affected by Parkinson’s exercise, improve and make lasting friendships while having fun.
