Joshua Lane

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Joshua was raised in Gloucester, MA. He spent much of his early life participating in pickup sports eventually playing lacrosse, football, and track in high school. When Joshua began college at Salem State, he wanted to maintain his active lifestyle. He became a member of the rugby team and began to get serious about exercising properly to reduce his risk of injury. Joshua soon became interested in spreading his fitness knowledge to his teammates, helping to develop their own weightlifting program. Upon graduation, Joshua became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and accepted a full-time position at UMass Lowell’s Department of Campus Recreation. Joshua enjoys working with young athletes as well beginners to teach fundamentals, develop healthy lifestyle habits, and to push clients towards reaching their goals.
